FAQ

Below is a reference for common questions regarding RoboX functionality, privacy, and rewards.

General

Q: What does RoboX do? RoboX collects anonymized real-world data through smartphones and transforms it into verified datasets for robotics and AI development.

Q: Who can participate? Anyone with a compatible smartphone and internet connection can join. Missions are available regionally based on demand and campaign funding.

Q: Do I need to keep the app open? No. Once a mission is activated, RoboX runs quietly in the background. It resumes automatically when relevant motion or sensor activity is detected.

Data & Privacy

Q: Does RoboX record video or audio? No. RoboX only uses non-visual sensors such as motion, GPS, and light data. It never records video, sound, or user content.

Q: Is my location visible to others? No. Raw GPS coordinates are converted into hashed region clusters before upload. Your exact position is never stored or shared.

Q: Can I delete my data? Yes. You can delete all collected data and participation history through Settings → Privacy Controls. The deletion is permanent and immediate across all storage nodes.

Rewards & Tokens

Q: How do I earn rewards? Each mission lists its reward rate. Valid contributions automatically generate Robox Points, which will convert into RoboX Tokens (ROBOX) once the token system is live.

Q: When will the RoboX Token launch? The token generation event (TGE) is planned during Phase II of the rollout. Details will be announced on robox.to.

Q: Can I transfer or trade my tokens? Yes, once the ROBOX token is live. Transfers will occur through supported Web3 wallets connected to the RoboX app.

Technical

Q: What kind of sensors does RoboX use? Accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, GPS, and light sensors, depending on the mission requirements.

Q: How is data verified? Validation algorithms cross-reference multiple submissions from nearby users. Only consistent, high-quality readings are accepted into mission datasets.

Q: What is the average data usage? Approximately 10–15 MB per active hour, depending on mission type. Most uploads occur automatically over Wi-Fi.

Partners & Developers

Q: How can organizations fund missions? Developers and institutions can access the RoboX Funding API (Phase II) to define objectives, deposit RBX tokens, and monitor campaign results.

Q: Can I access RoboX data for research? Yes. A Research Access Program will open during Phase III for universities and academic partners.

Q: Will there be a public dataset? Yes. RoboX plans to release anonymized, aggregated datasets under open-data licenses for non-commercial use once the validation network is stable.
